Don't mind me just starting to plan a trip to go to Hokkaido.....

Hope I can befriend some high quality gals lol

Prinnxx • 1 month ago

Step 1 to achieve a high quality gal from Hokkaido:
Be from Tokyo

And also have to wear traditional Japanese clothes to make a girl like Natsugawa-senpai to fall, lol

ERIK LEROUGEUH • 1 month ago

actually there is some onsen spot in hokkaido where you can hangout with the yukata of the hotel, or hire one at a shop. and they do animation, like firework each day or each week so its very possible.

Saint Evo • 1 month ago

Gals, one of men many dreams. If I can find a gyaru like Fuyuki then I’ll pay any amount of money to make that trip happen lol

Scai • 1 month ago

They exist. Just mostly not in the extreme as the three polar examples we got here.

ERIK LEROUGEUH • 1 month ago

all japan region fund local idol band or local anime show with waifu as tourism advertisement nowadays...yet i recommand you summer, since its not too hot like rest of japan, perfect for hike national park, or hit onsen.
as for meet japanese youth, why not hit a music festival like sun rising rock festival in ezo (sapporo) in mid august. perfect time for bbq at tent ;p
i did and it was so much fun.
yet for onsen and hiking, you will encounter numerous youngs too, but mostly foreign tourist coming specifically in hokkaido for big space. nice encounter too, they speak more english than japanese^^

Absolutely enchanted by this series! From start to finish, this series is an absolute gem that effortlessly blends heartwarming storytelling with stunning visuals. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Hokkaido's landscapes, the charm of the gals shines through in every scene.

One of the standout aspects of the show is its richly developed characters. Each gal is unique, with her own quirks and dreams, yet they all come together to form a tight-knit group that viewers can't help but root for. Their friendships feel genuine and heartfelt, adding layers of depth to the narrative.

Moreover, the series beautifully captures the essence of Hokkaido, showcasing its natural beauty and cultural richness. From snow-capped mountains to bustling city streets, every frame is a visual treat that transports viewers to this enchanting corner of Japan.

But beyond its aesthetic appeal, these hokkaido gals also delivers powerful messages about friendship, resilience, and pursuing one's passions. It's a reminder that no matter what challenges come our way, there's always strength to be found in the bonds we share with others.

In summary, this series a heartwarming and visually stunning anime experience. With its lovable characters, breathtaking scenery, and uplifting themes, it's a series that will leave you smiling long after the credits roll. 🌸📺

Rating: 8/10

Well, as a manga reader, I'm glad this season ended here, which is around chapter 30 in the manga, as it means the anime viewers can enjoy the sugar before the manga turns sour. Be warned though, without doing spoilers, let's just say the sugar runs out from this point on and the writing quality takes a nose dive.
If this ever gets a season 2, it will no longer be a wholesome romcom, but rather a poorly written harem story filled with pointless drama, where the characters are forced to act dumb by the author.
If it ever gets greenlit, just skip it and wait for the pretty much expected confession episode (chapter 99 in the manga), where the sugar is finally back. Believe me, you won't miss much, and you'll understand it just fine, unless, of course, you prefer soap opera drama over a wholesome romcom.

ou i had a feeling i haven't read the manga but o this confirms my sus now. And explains everything i can easily guess the writer intended to finish up the main couple getting together at this point of the story but the serialization or management or who ever suggested it to be extended because of popularity just painted a way for this whole series to just drag because yea they have to include the other 2 girls arks before they can get them together sure and for that to happen characters become dumb in there decision intentionally from the writer as im guessing the writer didn't intend for the story to be that way and now have to write themself out of a corner. This last 2 ep is a clear showing of the cracks in the armor i really don't know if i even want to watch a 2nd season of this if it plays out like a generic dragged on haremish show if they adapt 30 chap per season means it will have to have a 3rd season to actual get to that confession part bruh.

Don Maikin • 1 month ago

I have a feeling the editors had something to do with it, as you put it. It was so disappointing to read this manga after chapter 30 when it came out, especially because the first chapters really felt like a refreshing 100% wholesome romcom, and it seemed the main theme was something like "don't judge people by their appearances". How wrong I was...

But yeah, unless they speed up the story, you are better off skipping the entire 2nd season and most of the 3rd.

Nocturnal Pyro-sama • 1 month ago

I was worried about that, considering the 2 other girls have already been set up to be in love with Tsubasa, was very worried that it would become a harem drama.

Don Maikin • 1 month ago

Yeah, it sucks... The crushes are fine if they are handled in a healthy way and don't drag out. Most mangakas are incapable of doing that though, and go the harem route in an attempt to boost sales (I wouldn't be surprised if the editors had a role on forcing these kind of tropes, especially for a male target audience).
It's a shame, because the premise of the first chapters stands on its own pretty well.

Rip TF • 1 month ago

The problem isn't going the harem route. the problem is doing that and not going all the way to harem ending

Coldplay23 • 1 month ago

i'd still read it....which chapter to start at if i can't wait for a potential season 2?

Don Maikin • 1 month ago

Start at 30.

Matt90210 • 1 month ago

Damn was thinking of going to read it

Nikola Nikolov • 1 month ago

Id agree up to this last ep that really left a sour taste in my experience of the anime. Tsubasa for me lost all of his balls privileges with how things played. Was he a mute half the ep or what xD that being said 6 to 7 ish over all is my rating of the whole series it was an enjoyable first season.

Coldplay23 • 1 month ago

yup agree with u, sadly i wouldn't be surprised if we don't get another season

Rip TF • 1 month ago

Too bad it's another coward author that creates several great girls and yet he makes the MC reject them. Such a waste just like Nisekoi

Matt90210 • 1 month ago

This comes 2nd to me after A Sign of Affection. The scenery and themes really helped making the story, where alot of others tend to struggle with.

Bruh…who goes and tells a person they’re close with that they’re going to study abroad without also telling them how long they’re going to be gone for? Such pointless drama…

Tbh, I felt I somehow got scammed.

Knight • 1 month ago

Exactly.
They had us last episode. The way they made it sounded like she will be away for a long time lol
Really pointless

Late review:
Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi (Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!)
Source: Manga.
Genres: Comedy, romantic subtext, shounen.
Studios: Collab between SILVER LINK + Blade.
(SILVER LINK. is known for Masamune-kun's Revenge and Wise Man's Grandchild, along with other anime titles. Blade is known for Cheating Craft and Iwa Kakeru! Sport Climbing Girls)
(But both of these has work on several anime titles such as Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero and a few others.)

Personal thoughts:
As a interesting rom-com or semi like, this was a nice change of pace with the stereotypical trope male character Tsubasa and the gorgeous and thicc gyaru Minami who she was cheerful and peppy, he open kind hearted-ness was very alluring and the chemistry was great.
The SoL aspects was a breath of fresh air along the ins and outs of comedy accept at the end here with that 2 weeks travel ordeal was just facepalming over use pathetic needless drama.

The art, animation, and visuals was really good and colorful while the bopping OP and exciting.

But the overall story plot did seem typically predictable and too slow to really get anywhere on any romance other than the friendship stage.

Anyways this was nice and not really boring so 7/10.

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 month ago

Someone once said that this anime is propaganda sponsored by Hokkaido, and I truly believe them lol

"Come to Hokkaido and have your fate encounters with beautiful gyarus"
I can see the tagline go like this.

No season 2 announced yet. Since there are so many shows that got immediately renewed, it's now weird when the show doesn't get one lol

Their Hokkaido Tourist Attraction plan will surely be successful after this episode, lol

Saint Evo • 1 month ago

Already got the plane ticket 😂
